Partnering With the V&A to Bring Their Exhibition to Life.

Client’s Challenge.

Food: Bigger than the Plate was an exciting new exhibition exploring the future of food, sustainability and our relationship with the food cycle.

During an eighteen month process we consulted for the V&A on how they could bring an eating and drinking experiential element into the galleries – something never tried before on this scale.

SALT’s Solution.

SALT managed a myriad of stakeholders including curators, designers, chefs, caterers and front of house staff to enable visitors to gain a sensory, taste-led experience that mirrored the goals of the exhibition.

We also led a campaign of awareness-driving events which included VIP dinners for patrons, press and influencers as well as the Gala Opening Night.

Results.

With over 250,000 visitors to the exhibition predicted and a clean sweep in national reviews (including 4* in The Times, Guardian, Independent and the Evening Standard) the exhibition proved to be a hit. Working collaboratively from the outset with a ‘one agency’ mindset delivered results for all involved.
